Loretta
Mae Bass
Loretta Mae Bass, 74, of Charleston passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3,
2006, at her residence.
Born July 31, 1931, in Huntington, she was the daughter of the
late Randolph and Stella Perry.
She was a graduate of Huntington High School and the McMillan
School of Nursing. She was a retired nurse at CAMC with 32 years
of service, a member of Salines Chapter 81 Order of the Eastern
Star, past High Priestess of Ladies Oriental Shrine, Charleston,
and a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and of Christ
Church United Methodist, Charleston.
She is survived by daughters, Angela Biel and husband, Charles,
of Charleston and Cheryl Rader of Phoenix, Ariz.; sons, Randolph
Clark Rader and William E. Rader Jr. and wife, Marsha, all of
Dunbar; three grandchildren, Vincent Biel and Mary Catherine
Biel, both of Charleston, and Jason Rader of Georgia; one
great-grandson, Brandon Holcomb of Charleston; and sister, Becky
Meehan of Jacksonville, Fla.
At Loretta's request, there will be no funeral service and her
body will be cremated. Her cremains will be interred in Highland
Cemetery, Huntington.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at
Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, 4203 Salines Drive, Malden, where
an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made
to the Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Beni Kedem Shrine,
P.O. Box 2698, Charleston, WV 25329.
