Pictures of Spots (each spot has picnic table and fire ring)

June 10-11-12th!   First SES CAMPING Trip of the year!   We’ve already reserved 2 spots (2 RVs and 4 tents) at Gerald Freeman Campground (Sutton Lake) as we’ve had many SES Camping Trips there!  Next to the lake, Pontoon & Fishing boat rentals, fish from the shore, walking trails.  But the BEST part is sitting around the campfire and our FOOD!   Right now, estimated price is no more than $40 per person which includes your camping spot for 2 nights and 5 meals (our Breakfasts are awesome!).  Will have a Dessert Contest on Sat night, Best decorated tent (or RV ) for “Flag Day” to show your Spirit.  Both contests will have prizes and certificate!  Cornhole, Badminton, LCR, Cards and if someone has horseshoes, bring them, etc. as well.  If you are interested, need to let Connie or Nancy know asap so we will know if we have to reserve more spots.  If you want to go camping, but don’t have a tent, we may be able to help.  We’ve had some folks just sleep in their cars as they enjoy the relaxation, food and fun we have on these trips.  You can view pictures of our other camping trips on the SES site!   Again, if you may be interested, need to let one of us know!  Money will be due at the June 4th Dance.  More details on the SES internet site or on the FB Group Event page!  Nancy (304) 925-8024 or Connie (304) 419-1400.  All you have to bring is your own drinks (but we will provide coffee for breakfast).

Friday evening:  Bar-B-Qs, Baked Beans, Pasta Salad, Weiner Roast & Smores; Sat Breakfast  Personalized Omelets, Bacon or Sausage, Biscuits; Lunch Ham & Cheese Sandwiches, chips, watermelon, etc., Sat dinner: still working on, looking at rib-eyes, ribs, shish-ka-bobs or something special; Night Dessert Contest, Sunday breakfast French Toast with sausage or bacon, etc.

Fishing - lots of places to catch the big FISH!! - Fishing Sutton Lake

Fishermen find bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish plentiful in the lake. The Elk River below the dam is well known for muskie and walleye fishing, and trout are stocked in the Down Stream Area in the spring and fall. A handicap accessible fishing pier has been constructed at the Downstream Area to offer easier access to the quality fishing below the dam. Of course, you do not have to be a fisherman to enjoy the natural beauty on and around Sutton Lake. Sportsmen are required to have a West Virginia hunting and/or fishing license.  Additional information on West Virginia's fishing laws can be obtained from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources at P.O. Box 38, French Creek, WV, 26218, or by clicking on the link WV Fishing .
